Boorowa Showground will receive $150,000 in funding from the NSW Government’s COVID 19 stimulus package.
The funding will be used for 340 metres of connecting accessible pathways to allow walking and cycling between multiple sites within the showground precinct.
Mrs Tuckerman said showgrounds across the electorate have been approved for a range of work to improve the safety, use and condition of their infrastructure and support jobs in the local economy. “Our showgrounds play an important role at the heart of our communities so I welcome this further investment by the NSW Government,” Mrs Tuckerman said.
“This investment by the NSW Government will provide a boost for our local showgrounds and the communities they serve by supporting tradies and suppliers with work and strengthening showground infrastructure for the future.”
The funding announcement follows the funding announced last month of $151,800 for upgrades to the change rooms and amenities, irrigation for the main arena and parade ring and for road sealing work.
Other showgrounds in the electorate to receive funding are Crookwell, Goulburn, Gunning, Moss Vale and Robertson.
