*Adertisement*
2021 marks my fourth year as the Member for Cootamundra and is the halfway point of this term in Government.
In this time I have clocked up more than 220,000 kilometres in the car, visited 74 of our local schools, attended community events, meetings and heard the concerns and experiences of thousands of you.
I am extremely proud to serve the ‘Seat of Small Communities’ as your local
member.
I continue to fight hard for every town, village and locality to receive your fair share of funding from the many fantastic NSW Government programs on offer, ensuring you have the services and infrastructure needed to thrive.
We have seen unprecedented investment in our road and rail network, funding upgrades to improve safety, freight capacity and ensuring our communities are connected.
Our rural, regional and remote communities have never seen such investment.
I am incredibly proud to see much loved tennis courts, sporting ovals, netball courts, pools and rodeo grounds gain new amenities, canteens, lighting and grandstands.
Such upgrades are reviving these facilities for the next generation, for those who have not be able to previously participate, and removing the stress of fundraising from smaller communities.
For the first time in decades, sustained investment is bringing our showgrounds and community halls in to the 21st century, breathing new life in to these fantastic community spaces.
We are fighting hard to give our young people a future in our communities, enabling them to stay at home to study courses never offered at local TAFE campuses through connected learning centres, upgrading libraries to give them places to learn, and funding youth-focused projects through the Stronger Country Communities Fund.
My work as your local member is focused on building a safer, stronger regional NSW and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
