As we navigate another lockdown, it’s important to focus on what you can control and less on things you can’t.
It’s important to acknowledge the circumstances we are in but then focus on what we can control.
Redirecting our focus enables us to shift our mindset and create more positive health and wellbeing.
My outlook heading into lockdown is that we’ve been given a gift of time, a time to reflect, reconnect with ourselves, our values and reset.
We often get caught up looking to tomorrow, next week and planning forward. When did you last reflect? Write down everything you’ve achieved in your life, small and big as everything counts and got you here today.
Reconnecting with our values lies deep within our purpose for life. Everyone’s values are unique. If you find yourself thinking ‘what are my values?’, ask yourself:
What is important to me? What inspires me to take action? To speak my mind?
Once we’ve looked within ourselves and got to know what we value, we can reset ourselves to focus and create movement around these values.
I believe if you are able to listen to what you feel and focus your energy into creating positive experiences that align with your values, you will truly be better for it.
