With the weather getting colder, there’s a strong temptation to curl up with a cup of tea and a book in front of the fire.
Hilltops Library has a selection of top titles for adult readers.
“We highly recommend reading Truths I Never Told You, by Kelly Rimmer and Those Hamilton Sisters, by Averil Kenny, both wonderfully moving, warm and captivating stories of family and secrecy,” a Harden Library spokesperson said.
“In terms of a series, we would highly recommend the brand-new release, The Missing Sister by Lucinda Riley. This is the highly anticipated seventh book in the Seven Sisters Series; all of which are available in our Hilltops Libraries.”
The Seven Sisters Series was originally inspired by the Greek myth of The Pleiades, the seven daughters of Atlas and Pleione who, as the legend suggests, were said to have been turned into the constellation Pleiades.
Each of the books details the story of one of the sisters and their origins all around the world.
“Book seven, The Missing Sister, is a story of strength and sacrifice, taking the six D’Apliese sisters on a journey from New Zealand to Canada, England, France and Ireland to discover their unknown seventh sister, with their only clue being a star- shaped emerald ring,” they said.
Further, you can explore the Hilltops Library and what’s on offer by joining a book club.

The Young club meets every first Tuesday at 10am, second Saturday at 12pm and third Saturday at 12pm.
