The major influence on the club’s weekly bowls program was the wet weather.
The rain stopped play in the Pennant games on Sunday 21st March and all scheduled play for Wednesday and Thursday was called off.
On Sunday play resumed in the Pennant match between Young’s Grade 3 and Grade 4 sides.
This resulted in a win for the Grade 3 side on all three rinks.
In the individual games David Quigley defeated George Somerville 30–13, Damien Miller defeated Geoff DeBritt 26–13 and Peter Watts defeated Cliff Traynor 23–16.
In Grade 5 Young resumed their game against Harden at Harden. The overall result was a narrow 60–54 win to Harden.
Les Fanning defeated Brian Gibson 23–14, Ian Gailey lost to Tony Fisher 16–20 and Mark Brownlie lost to Shane McKellar 15–26.
On Saturday there were three games of Club Singles completed.

Geoff Holt played Ian Schofield in a game that lasted 42 ends. Geoff gained a small lead early in the game and after 26 ends was in front 23–13. Ian then won 5 ends in a row to take the score to 23–22.
Over the final 11 ends there were 9 ends with just 1 shot being scored as Geoff took out the game 31–27.
The third game saw Joe Bargwanna opposed to Harold Anderson.
