This Saturday, the 14th of November, will see residents of Harden Murrumburrah walk through the new New South Wales Rural Fire Service (NSWRFS) South West Slopes Zone Fire Control Centre at the Centre’s Open Day.
The multi-million dollar purpose built Centre is located at the Harden Racecourse at 4559 Burley Griffin Way in the South West Slopes Zone.
The Fire Control Centre features state-of-the-art facilities, with dedicated operations and planning rooms with a knowledge wall for situational awareness, multiple training rooms, outdoor catering facilities for both volunteers and staff, an administrative area and dedicated storage facilities for support resources.
The Open Day will be held between 9am and 3pm, giving residents the opportunity to explore the new facility, both inside and outside.
Visitors will need to sign in at the front gate upon arrival and adhere to current NSW Health COVID-19 requirements.
