The colourful design ‘Painting A’ has been voted the winning design in the Murrumburrah Mills Painting Project.
Renowned silo artist Heesco, who has been engaged to complete the painting, designed two options, Painting A and Painting B. The two options were then put to a public vote, with Painting A voted the winner.
HRDC CEO Chris Ireland said, “The more colourful option of the two has taken the vote count by seventy four percent.”
“There were just over 500 votes cast in the two week period, which is a fantastic response and shows the high level of engagement in the Harden Murrumburrah community.”
With the design decided upon, the project will move to the development stage. The aim is to complete the project by the end of the year, but due to current COVID 19 restrictions, Heesco is currently unable to travel into New South Wales. Strict COVID 19 restrictions will need to be adhered to during the project.

The project will be added to the New South Wales Silo Painting Trail and is expected to boost tourism to the area.
