Sydney based choir Macquaire Singers have donated $700 to the Hilltops Suicide Prevention Network following their visit to Young for a choral weekend.

The Hilltops Choir hosted the choral weekend at the end of May, with the Macquarie Singers and members of the Cowra Vocal Ensemble attending. The singers joined in a weekend of workshops, culminating in an afternoon public concert with an audience of 100 people.

The Macquarie Singers were keen to support a local service with their donation, particularly in a time of drought.

Tracy Clark (Secretary of the Hilltops Choir) and Carole Clark (President of the Hilltops Choir) presented Eris Gleeson of the Hilltops Suicide Prevention Network with the $700 cheque on behalf of the Macquarie Singers.
