The annual Koorawatha Show will be held on the 3rd of March with all the usual fanfare as well as a brand new addition.
For the first time, the Show will be hosting the Zone 10 Junior Judging Final. Competitors have already competed at their local Shows and now have the chance to go to the Royal Easter Show in Sydney. Ag students from high schools in the area are able to enter on the day.
There are six sections: Merino Sheep, Meat Sheep, Grain, Fruit & Vegetables, Wool and Cattle. Competitors will have to judge the exhibits in these sections and award points, explaining their reasons for doing so.
Judges will decide who has done the best job and therefore proceeds to the Royal Easter Show.
The Koorawatha Show Society is looking to make this a regular feature of the Show.
Also featuring will be the usual displays of horses, cattle, sheep, yard dogs and the Pavilion with all the different sections.
The kids will enjoy the excitement of the rides and amusements. Music lovers will appreciate the country singer.
A major drawcard will be the young, local whip cracker who is currently number two in Australia.
Several stallholders will be in attendance with a large range of goods to buy.
