The Young Hospital Auxiliary will be holding a Mother’s Day Stall on Friday the 10th of May between 8.30am and 2.30pm outside the Westpac Bank in Young.
This year, the Auxiliary have a new addition to the stall’s usual attractions. Members have enjoyed potting mini succulent gardens, with the gardens not only ideal for Mother’s Day gifts but children and the elderly as well. The gardens are low maintenance with low water requirements.
As well as the traditional range of home-made cakes, slices, jams, handwork, hardy plants etc. the Auxiliary has been given a selection of beautiful hand-knitted blankets. Some of the rugs are decorator size with others being knee-rug size.
Prizes for the Mother’s Day Raffle are:
1st Overnight luggage donated by The Loft Fashion House
2nd A pair of sunglasses donated by Young Eyes
3rd A voucher donated by Urban Hair and Beauty and a Gift Pack (shaker set) donated by Annie B.
4th Maxwell Williams platter donated by Young Hospital Auxiliary Members
All donations of cooking and plants are welcome.
The Young Hospital Auxiliary raises money to purchase items for the care and comfort of patients. They have recently purchased the Sonosite Ultrasound for the Emergency Department for over $45,000 and are currently raising money for the purchase of three low beds for $9000 and two fall mats for $1600.
Head down to the stall and pick up something wonderful for Mum while supporting the Auxiliary.
