Hilltops Australia Day preparations are well underway, and our Australia Day ambassadors have been announced.

Film producer and author Sue Milliken has been announced as the Australia Day Ambassador for Boorowa. Sue recently co-wrote the screenplay and was nominated for Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts awards for best film and best screenplay the feature film Ladies in Black. Her other credits as producer include The Odd Angry Shot, The Fringe Dwellers, Black Robe, Sirens, Dating the Enemy, Paradise Road, the TV miniseries My Brother Jack and the indigenous films Crocodile Dreaming and The Redfern Story.

Better Homes and Gardens TV Presenter, Graham Ross is the Ambassador for Harden. Graham has educated, entertained, and inspired Australia’s gardening community over his career. Graham is Australia’s most acclaimed horticulturalist being presented with the prestigious Gold Veitch Memorial Medal in London (2011) by the Royal Horticultural Society, the Golden Wattle Award in 2014, plus multiple horticultural industry awards and 12 Logies for Better Homes & Gardens TV to name a few.

Former Australian Cricketer and former coach of the Pakistan Cricket team, Geoff ‘Henry’ Lawson is the Ambassador for Young. Henry first represented Australia in 1979, and was named Player of the Series in consecutive years against England 1982-83 and Pakistan 1983-84 and Australia’s best player of the Pakistan tour in 1982. Geoff captained NSW from midway through the 1988-89 season until his retirement in 1991-92. After playing, Geoff moved into coaching, and in 1990, Geoff was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for services to cricket and in 2002 the Australian Sports Medal.
