Channel Seven's Better Homes and Gardens personality and 2GB radio's weekend Garden Clinic, Graham Ross will address Australia Day ceremonies, sharing his knowledge and passion for diverse culture to celebrate our nation’s greatest achievements.

Mr Ross has been an Australia Day ambassador for 19 years and says it’s a “huge honour and responsibility.”

He’s earned the honour given his 41 years broadcasting on radio is a unique achievement, 43 years presenting gardening programmes on television and launching the Australian Garden Council in 2015 to support teenagers wanting a career in gardening and horticulture. He’s won multiple horticultural industry awards and 12 Logies for Better Homes & Gardens to name a few accolades.

“I accepted the role because, if you feel, as I do, that each and everyone in this great country is equal and equally important then unity and progress for our nation follow,” he said.

“Values might appear to be old fashioned but in truth it is the glue which holds a country together.”

He says Ambassadors, like himself, are ordinary citizens who have demonstrated dedication to the ideals and qualities that make for a better Australia. Those Ambassadors I know have also achieved in their fields and stand out as trustworthy, reliable citizens willing to go that extra mile for others. He said it’s an enormous privilege to visit regional Australia to meet leaders, high achievers and everyday folk.

Graham will address ceremonies in Harden-Murrumbarrah and Wombat, with former Australian Cricketer and former coach of the Pakistan Cricket team, Geoff ‘Henry’ Lawson and film producer and author Sue Milliken the Australia Day Ambassador for Boorowa.
