David Evans and Steve Pescud collected the plants and Milton Reid from Kanga Hardware very kindly donated his time to break the soil using his “Dingo”, a standup mini tractor.
Steve got digging and planted the tomatoes in the new bed and the eggplant in the espalier bed. Chillis were also planted and stakes erected for the tomatoes.
The Community Garden extends its thanks to John, Milton, Steve and others for their hard work.
The drive is now on to find canning equipment, including a plethora of jars, for what promises to be a plethora of forthcoming pickles, chutneys, sauces etc.
