Last Saturday, the 14th of December, the Young Uniting Church held a Christmas tree display at their monthly markets.
The Uniting Church has been holding a Christmas tree display for over a decade, where members of the community bring in their tree or trees to form part of the display. The trees are up to the individual’s imagination, with traditional style trees, upside-down style trees or even a clever version in horseshoes all being displayed.
Trees can be made from a variety of materials, including timber, cardboard, metal, paper, fabric and flowers. Some trees also have special messages decoratively placed.
The Uniting Church is looking forward to 2020 when they hope to double the joy by doubling the number of trees on display.
The Church will be holding their Christmas Eve carol service at 6.30pm on the 24th of December and their Christmas Day service at 8.30am on the 25th. All are welcome to attend.
