The BreastScreen NSW van will be back in Boorowa from Monday August the 16th to Friday August the 20th, 2021.
Women from Boorowa and the surrounding towns aged between 50 and 74 are being encouraged to make an appointment for a free breast screen while the van is in town.
The digital technology used in the van is able to provide doctors with clearer images faster, improving early detection.
NSW guidelines recommend women aged between 50 and 74 years old undergo breast screening to detect breast cancer every two years.
The van will be parked on Pudman Street, opposite Park Street.
In line with COVID restrictions, those with flu-like symptoms, have recently travelled overseas, to an interstate or NSW hotspot, been diagnosed with COVID-19 or been in contact with a confirmed case are asked to delay booking their appointment.
To book an appointment, call 13 20 50 or book online at book.breastscreen.nsw.gov.au
