Boorowa Community Garden is inviting Boorowa families to lunch and a raised bed workshop.
Two types of raised beds will be constructed, with a focus on methods for retaining soil moisture and using less water.
The workshop is one in a series of ‘Gardening in Drought’ workshops, designed to showcase easy and low cost methods for growing fruit, veges and herbs in the current drought conditions.
The workshop is funded by the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) and the Australian Government’s ‘Empowering Communities’ initiative.
The workshop will be held on Sunday the 15th of September from 10am
to 2.30pm at the Boorowa Community Garden.
