The annual Carols by Candlelight will be held on Sunday the 23rd of December in Carrington Park.

It is organised by the Ministers fraternal of Young. Reverend Neil Percival will bring the message this year.

The celebration starts with the Family Fun Festival at 6pm, which is organised by New Life Community Church. There will be plenty of games for the kids including stilts, big parachutes and the jaffa smasher. The Baptist Church will be running a free barbeque and New Life will be running a puppet show.

Salvos Timbrels will perform at 7.30pm before the carols start at 8pm. The carols will be led by the Combined Churches Choir and the Young Town Band conducted by Rodney Clancy. Candles will be available to purchase, organised by the Presbyterian Church.

Emily Calvert from New Life Church said, “Christmas is about peace, contrary to many people’s experience and transcendent joy. Carols by Candlelight is an opportunity to celebrate the peace and joy we have in our lives and to share it with our community.” Bring along a chair and blanket and enjoy the Christmas ambiance with friends and family.
