The Young Show Society has announced they have made the hard decision to cancel this year’s 148th Annual Young Show.

The Show, which was due to be held on the 20th of September, has been cancelled due to the uncertainty around the rules and regulations surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

“The Committee believe this is in the best interest of our community at this time,” said Young Show Society President Sam Reynolds.

Attention for the main show will now turn to next year, “We look forward to working with our community and everyone involved to make our 2021 show our best one yet.”

There is still a possibility the Show’s horse event will run on the long weekend in October, depending on rules and regulations in place to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. “We hope to still run our horse event on the long weekend in October. We will be monitoring the COVID 19 situation very closely and make our final decision on this closer to the date,” said Sam.
